Human Resources Manager

Our client has been a local Vermont employer with a long history of manufacturing high-quality products. They are looking for someone who will act as a strategic partner to leadership in aspects of talent management, employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning. Get ready to join their growing team as their Human Resources Manager!

Your day-to-day as a Human Resources Manager:

  • Administer HR policies and procedures, including benefits, leave management, workers’ compensation, and OSHA compliance
  • Manage payroll processing and administer compensation and benefits programs
  • Provide guidance to managers on employee relations matters
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain accurate documentation
  • Lead recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviews, selections, and onboarding in line with company policies
  • Coordinate organizational training needs

Your skills and experience:

  • Proven payroll experience is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field or a strong number of years of experience
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong background in employee relations, ideally within a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Solid understanding of HR laws, regulations, and compliance practices
  • Ability to build effective relationships and communicate clearly with employees at all levels
  • HR certifications (PHR/SPHR/SHRM-SCP) are a plus
