Advanced, modern manufacturing is rapidly expanding in the Champlain Valley, and ETS is honored to partner with entities such as The Development Corporation, the Workforce Investment Board, Clinton Community College and SUNY Plattsburgh to develop unique and forward thinking education initiatives.
These initiatives provide clear pathways for individuals throughout the Champlain Valley to successfully launch a career in manufacturing.
The following is a list of initiatives ETS has been heavily involved in forming, that provide a pathway to launch a career in manufacturing.
Since it’s inception in 2010, AIME (Assembling Industry: Manufacturing & Education) has been preparing and training individuals throughout the North Country for new opportunities, aiming to provide a clear pathway to a career in manufacturing. As a founding partner, ETS supports AIME by providing insight into the local industry as modern technology is rapidly advancing. With a hands-on, minds-on approach to engaging relevant and practical training, this eight week course prepares students of all ages to start a career in advanced manufacturing.
A celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers. North Country Manufacturing Day (NCMFG Day) addresses common misperceptions about manufacturing by giving manufacturers an opportunity to open their doors and show, in a coordinated effort, what manufacturing is – and what it isn’t. As an NCMFG Day Committee member, ETS is dedicated to rallying manufacturers to come together and address their collective challenges so our community and future generations can thrive. NCMFG Day is meant for anyone who is curious about modern manufacturing and who would like to know more about what happens in modern-day manufacturing facilities. This includes students, parents, educators, media, civic leaders, and the local community.
The Institude for Advanced Manufacturing is a state-of-the-art facility designed to serve as a regional hub for manufacturing education. The building houses Clinton Community College’s technology programs and provides flexible teaching / learning spaces and courses for manufacturers to advance their workforce. As an IAM board member, ETS is kept up to date on the new and exciting programs that are offered. Leveraging our partnership with IAM and our deep business ties in manufacturing, ETS can provide program specific guidance and advice to individuals interested in launching a career in manufacturing.
