Your day-to-day as a Tax Compliance Specialist:
- Prepare, file, and reconcile recurring tax filings for multiple business lines.
- Coordinate and support state and company tax audits by preparing digital documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance, accuracy, and audit readiness.
- Research new tax jurisdictions and regulations to support business expansion and provide proactive compliance recommendations.
Your skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Legal Studies, or Business Administration required.
- 3–5 years of experience in tax compliance, preferably with multistate and regulated industries.
- Proficiency with Excel and tax/accounting systems such as Avalara, Vertex, SAGE, or Oracle.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated interest in process improvement and automation.
