Industrial Engineer | Plattsburgh, NY | $100K+

In-Person, $90-$110K/Year, 1st Shift, Full-Time, On-Call and OT as Required, Excellent Benefits
Our client, a leading manufacturer specializing in innovative packaging solutions, is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join their growing team!
Your day-to-day as a Industrial Engineer:
- Collaborate with company leadership and plant management to specify, develop, and upgrade production equipment
- Lead facility expansion projects involving building modifications, HVAC, compressed air, and cooling systems
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S principles
- Design and detail mechanical components for manufacturing equipment using AutoCAD or similar tools
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and performance metrics while validating new equipment installations
- Work directly with vendors to obtain specifications, quotes, and manage procurement processes
- Deliver technical presentations to leadership and customers, keeping them informed on key projects
- Supervise subcontractors and coordinate with internal and external teams to achieve project goals
Your skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering required
- 1–2 years of experience in the plastics manufacturing industry preferred
- Strong mechanical design background; AutoCAD 3D experience preferred
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Proven project management and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to travel and occasionally work flexible hours for major projects or system issues
- PLC programming knowledge a plus
