Human Resources Manager

Our client has been a local Vermont employer with a long history of manufacturing high-quality products. They are looking for someone who will act as a strategic partner to leadership in aspects of talent management, employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning. Get ready to join their growing team as their Human Resources Manager!
Your day-to-day as a Human Resources Manager:
- Administer HR policies and procedures, including benefits, leave management, workers’ compensation, and OSHA compliance
- Manage payroll processing and administer compensation and benefits programs
- Provide guidance to managers on employee relations matters
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain accurate documentation
- Lead recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviews, selections, and onboarding in line with company policies
- Coordinate organizational training needs
Your skills and experience:
- Proven payroll experience is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field or a strong number of years of experience
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong background in employee relations, ideally within a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Solid understanding of HR laws, regulations, and compliance practices
- Ability to build effective relationships and communicate clearly with employees at all levels
- HR certifications (PHR/SPHR/SHRM-SCP) are a plus
