Powder Coat Technician

A provider of technology and engineering solutions for the transportation industry. They are seeking a Powder Coat Technician to join their team.
Your day-to-day as a Powder Coat Technician:
- Prepare, mask, and clean metal and other surfaces for coating applications
- Operate wet paint Graco system to apply industrial paint finishes
- Inspect coated parts for quality, including thickness, color, and uniformity
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and filter replacement in the paint booth
- Assist with daily 5S procedures and support other operators as needed
- Touch up defective areas and help resolve quality or production issues
Your skills and experience:
- At least 1 year of powder coat experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Proficient in using measuring instruments such as viscosity testers and thickness gauges
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and correct coating defects
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a manufacturing environment
