Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Location: Remote, Salary: $160,000, Day Shift, Full-Time
Our client is a global engineering company specializing in the design and development of high-performance equipment for demanding industries. They are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.
Your day-to-day as a Mechanical Design Engineer:
- Plan, execute, and analyze development and qualification tests for mechanical systems
- Collaborate with subvendors to design and approve test plans and procedures
- Author, review, and approve technical documents and engineering drawings
- Mentor and guide engineering team members in calculations, analysis, and design validation
- Support new product development by recommending design strategies and setting priorities
- Promote process improvements and mechanical design excellence within the team
Your skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5-10 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including stress analysis and materials science
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, standards, and specifications
- Experience with Solid Modeling (SolidWorks preferred), drafting, and GD&T practices
- Familiarity with ASME Codes and industry regulations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
