Manual Machinist (1st shift)

Your day-to-day as a Machine Operator:
- Set up and operate CNC Mills manual mills, lathes saw, and magnetic drills to manufacture parts as per engineering specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup requirements.
- Perform first piece inspections and make necessary adjustments for optimal production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining and setup issues to maintain production efficiency.
- Perform routine quality checks on machined parts and adjust settings as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work area by following company protocols
Your skill set includes:
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read and analyze manufacturing blueprints including GD&T symbology, industry and military standards, customer specifications, and work orders.
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment using imperial and metric units to ensure dimensional customer specifications are met.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Able to follow written instructions and take verbal instructions.
