Job Location: In-Person, East Syracuse, NY, $27-$33/Hour, Full-Time
Our client is a well-established manufacturing operation specializing in precision metal components and machined parts, and they want you to join their team as a CNC Machinist.
Your day-to-day as a CNC Machinist:
- Set up and operate 3- and 4-axis CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers
- Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T requirements to produce precision parts
- Verify part accuracy using precision measuring tools per documented quality plans
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make real-time adjustments to improve performance
- Maintain production records and communicate shift-to-shift updates
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on CNC equipment
- Adhere to all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards
Your skills and experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of CNC machining experience in setup, operation, and optimization
- Strong understanding of CNC machining principles and processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints with a solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing GD&T
- Experience editing and/or writing basic machining macros
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods
