Your day-to-day as a Welder:
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel ductwork and components to precise specifications.
- Fit, square, and assemble metal parts to tight tolerances prior to welding.
- Prepare surfaces by grinding, deburring, and cleaning to ensure optimal coating adhesion.
- Conduct quality checks during and after welding to verify weld integrity and dimensional accuracy.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as shears, rollers, saws, presses, and positioners safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to all safety and PPE protocols.
Your skills and experience:
- 2–5 years of professional welding experience in fabrication, industrial, or manufacturing settings.
- Proficiency in TIG welding, especially with 20–18 gauge stainless steel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight dimensional and aesthetic requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Experience with thin-gauge metals or ductwork fabrication is a plus.
- Familiarity with surface preparation standards and distortion-control techniques.
