Accounts Payable Associate|DIRECT HIRE| Plattsburgh, NY

Our client is a well-established production facility and they want you to join their team as an Accounts Payable Associate.
Your day-to-day as a Accounts Payable Associate:
- Process high-volume invoices, credit memos, and expense reports related to operations, utilities, and services
- Match invoices to purchase orders, delivery tickets, or receiving documentation and ensure proper approvals
- Code invoices accurately to general ledger accounts by department or facility
- Manage vendor prepayments and apply them correctly to future invoices
- Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and respond to payment inquiries
- Maintain organized AP records and support month-end and year-end accounting activities
Your skills and experience:
- 2+ years of accounts payable experience in a busy office environment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately with large dollar amounts
- Proficiency in accounting software, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while handling confidential financial information
