Direct Hire, $45K-$100K/Year (Depending on Experience and Certifications), 3pm-11pm, Tuesday-Saturday, Full-Time with Excellent Benefits
Our client is a treatment and recovery center, and they want you to join their team as a Counselor!
Your day-to-day as a Counselor:
- Conduct initial interviews for therapeutic assessment
- Provide individual, family, and group counseling
- Offer outreach services for families unable to attend in-house sessions
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team
- Manage family treatment components, including educational classes
- Document data, update profiles, and collaborate with clinical staff for ongoing updates and revisions
Your skills and experience:
- Ability to work effectively with a range of ages and groups, managing personal biases, while demonstrating a high level of professionalism, empathy, and respect
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with drug abuse language, types, influences, as well as the dynamics of chemical dependency within the family component
- Strong understanding of therapeutic methods, theories, and social case work practices
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and local Social Services, OASAS, and related agencies
