Accounting Manager

Our client is a leading manufacturer and technology innovator serving customers nationwide, and they want you to join their team as an Accounting Manager at their Essex Junction, VT facility.

Your day-to-day as an Accounting Manager:

• Lead and mentor a small accounting team overseeing operational accounting functions across two divisions
• Manage AP, AR, and Fixed Asset Management while ensuring timely and accurate monthly and year-end close processes
• Oversee manufacturing cost accounting systems and maintain compliance with accounting standards
• Apply expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition and project accounting for accurate financial reporting
• Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, cost analysis, and process improvement initiatives

Your skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required)
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
• Strong technical expertise in operational accounting and cost accounting
• Direct experience with software revenue recognition (ASC 606) and project accounting
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and develop a small team
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
