Manufacturing Accountant | Plattsburgh, NY | Direct Hire $60K+

In-Person, $60K-$70K/Year, Day Shift, Monday-Friday, Full-Time
Our client is a growing manufacturing organization, and they want you to join their team as a Manufacturing Accountant.
Your day-to-day as a Cost Accountant – Manufacturing:
- Analyze product design, raw materials, and manufacturing methods to determine cost impacts
- Perform variance analysis to compare standard vs. actual costs and explain discrepancies
- Monitor inventory movements and reconcile inventory data monthly
- Support month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and resolve cost variances
Your skills and experience:
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, GAAP, and financial reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software
- Detail-oriented, independent, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
