Engineering Technician | DIRECT HIRE | Plattsburgh, NY | $26/hr+

DIRECT HIRE, $25–$28/Hour, 1st Shift, Excellent Benefits (Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, 401K, Paid Vacation, etc.)
Important Note: This position requires the ability to travel to Canada as needed.
Our client is a leading, local manufacturer and they are seeking a skilled Engineering Technician to join their team in Plattsburgh, NY.
Your day-to-day as an Engineering Technician:
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with engineers to implement and test new production systems and workflows
- Perform time studies, process mapping, and workflow analysis
- Develop and maintain standardized work procedures and production documentation
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions
- Assist in the layout and design of factory floor space for optimized productivity
- Collect and report data related to production performance, quality, and improvements
- Support a culture of safety and ensure compliance with health and environmental regulations
Your skills and experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing or industrial setting; automotive/transportation industry preferred
- Associate’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred (or equivalent work experience)
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Proficiency with CAD tools and layout design software
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt to fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and safety regulations in industrial settings
