2nd Shift MIG Welder

$25/Hour (Based on Experience), 2nd Shift, Full-Time
Our client produces high-quality, safe vehicle lifts, and they want you to join their team as a MIG Welder!
Your day-to-day as a MIG Welder:
- Perform MIG welding on carbon steel using .062 wire in a horizontal position
- Load parts into jigs and perform fit-up and welding activities
- Maintain various welding equipment and perform pre-heat, weld inspection, and finishing activities
- Operate oxy/acetylene torches or plasma cutters for cutting steel materials
- Participate in cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives
- Comply with all safety requirements and maintain a clean work area
Your skills and experience:
- Welding vocational training or 3+ years of welding experience
- Proficiency in welding steel, especially Gas Metal Arc Welding and Flux Cored Arc Welding
- Ability to set and adjust weld settings based on material types and quality standards
- Experience with overhead cranes, lifting methods, and basic shop math
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and good communication skills
