Meet Brittany! Her passion for creativity, love of the area (mythical creatures included), and undeniable zest for life are just some of the reasons she’s a rock star member of the ETS team.

What made you want to be a recruiter at ETS?
I came into ETS unsure of where I would fit in this area, my background is in art, and my recruiter at ETS saw my full potential and gave me the confidence to pair me with this opportunity. After working here since July of last year I know now, that I was made to be a recruiter.
Reading anything good right now?
I am currently reading Stephen King’s Dark Tower series, the books take a look at inter-dimensional travel, and how time is connected through dimensions. These books also discover the depth of adventure, and it follows a character named Roland.
What’s your favorite part of the Champlain Valley?
I love the scenery, and I am inspired to get to the bottom of the mystery of Champy, I am not from Plattsburgh originally, and when I learned about our mythical lake monster I became inspired by the story.
What’s one thing people would never know about you?
I am an abstract expressionist oil painter. I paint large canvases and display and exhibit them. It is my passion. (You can check out her artwork on Instagram @brittanymccartydesign)
What’s a superpower you’ve always wanted and how would you use this power?
I have always wanted the power to control time. I would pause time often to get more done in the day, and have even more enjoyable experiences on the weekends.
What’s your favorite restaurant?
Irises, hands down best food, great atmosphere, and their martinis are to die for.
What was your first impression walking into ETS?
I thought the company was very innovative, everyone was incredibly friendly upon my arrival for my first interview. In the 3 interviews that followed I met all members of the team and knew that this would be a great company culture fit.
The last TV show you binged?
The Office, hands down, I have watched and rewatched that show multiple times.
What’s one thing that inspires you to go to work every day?
Being a part of the ETS team inspires me to go to work every day, and feel truly fulfilled in all that I do. This team has allowed me to broaden my horizons and connect with people, and the work environment here is one that I feel confident being a part of every day.
What’s your go-to coffee order?
I love a good cappuccino, the coffee at Park Bros in Potsdam is my all-time favorite.
What’s one piece of advice you give to candidates about to interview?
Be confident and honest, always focus on your strengths and don’t be afraid of your weaknesses.
